Our Peoria County Regional Office of Education Professional Learning Team served at Trewyn School PPS today by knocking on doors, connecting with children and parents, and wishing them an awesome start to the school year!

Yesterday, July 26, we were thrilled that author Kristin Souers led an all-day PL session focused on her book "Fostering Resilient Learners: Strategies for Creating a Trauma-Sensitive Classroom." Lots of great learning with an incredible presenter!

The Peoria Regional Learning Center (PRLC) was the recipient of a generous donation from Friends of Fatherless Sons. Our students had a wish for a new water fountain with a water bottle dispenser.
With this generosity and our very own West Peoria Mayor James Dillon installing the new unit, our students will return to school in August with their wish fulfilled. We can not say thank you enough for this generous donation!

We enjoyed two full days of "Taking Action: Implementing Effective Mathematics Teaching Practices," which engaged teachers in learning the eight math teaching practices. Thank you Tegan Nusser from Bradley University for facilitating this beneficial PL opportunity!

Join us for a hybrid Community of Practice (CoP) series at NO COST!
Participants will explore, practice, and enhance THEIR knowledge of the eight dimensions of wellness and the brain science behind trauma responsiveness.
