Join Lincoln Prairie Behavioral Health Center on Friday, August 11, for its monthly CEU event.
The REACH initiative extends a warm invitation to educators statewide to join Communities of Practice to learn, share, and grow in your school's trauma-responsive practices. Communities of Practice offer a unique platform for educators to come together and exchange experiences, insights, and best practices in addressing trauma within our schools. Educators play a pivotal role in shaping students' lives, so implementing trauma-responsive practices becomes crucial in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment where every student can truly thrive.
There are four statewide virtual Communities of Practice offered this year:
- Building Bridges: Strengthening School Community Partnerships for Student Success
- Social and Emotional Learning, It's Not Just for Kids
- Trauma, Racism, & Equity: A Community Approach to Transforming Schools
- Empowering Responsive Wellness in Schools
In addition to the statewide offerings, there are seven regional Communities of Practice, which are listed in the brochure.
Please note that priority will be given to educators working at schools participating in REACH. However, educators who currently do not work in a participating REACH school may apply. Interested in participating in REACH in the 2023-24 school year?
Contact mcoconate@peoriaroe.org.
Applications to participate in the Communities of Practice are due by 5 p.m. on Sept. 13.
GED testing will be available for FREE through Sept 30, 2023, to help IL residents complete their High School Diploma.
Use the ILSAVE discount code at checkout at GED.com when registering for a test and the cost of the test, the test center fee, and online testing will be covered.
