We commemorate Juneteenth, when on June 19, 1865, when enslaved peoples in Texas finally gained their freedom. We remember them. We honor their memory. We celebrate freedom for all.
The Peoria ROE was excited to co-host the summer retreat of the Emerging Workforce Alliance (EWA). The EWA supports districts with PaCE framework implementation which prepares students in 6th-12th grades for financial aid and literacy, career exploration and development, and post secondary education, exploration, preparation, and selection. We had a dynamic keynote presented by the administration of the Vienna School District who has done remarkable work in 3 years. The panel in the picture below shows community members from the business world who shared insights from the private sector with educators. This panel included CEFCU, Accenture Technology, Carle Health, and River City Construction.
