The Regional Superintendent joined several community colleges from all over Illinois the participate in the Workforce Equity Initiative. The brainchild of representative Jehan Gordon Booth this program supports underrepresented communities with the services that they need to join the workforce with a credential. Something that began here locally at Illinois Central College has now grown statewide and is being considered at a national level.
