The @PeoriaROE48 Spotlight Educator for October is Tom Olson from @DunlapSchools!
The community member that nominated Tom stated that he, "is an exceptional educator who goes above and beyond for his students and his colleagues." When asked about what it means to be an educator, Tom replied "Being an educator is a fulfilling and influential vocation as it offers the chance to mold the futures of our students. I'm fortunate to work with a wonderful mathematics department and also have the support of our building's amazing administrative team. It's because of them I enjoy going to school now just as much as I did when I was a young child. I hope to continue to pass on the transformative power of learning to all who enter my classroom."
Congratulations, Tom!! Thank you for all you do for the field of education.
