All In-Person Services Suspended as of March 16, 2020

In response to the current guidelines to minimize exposure risk to those we serve and our employees, the Peoria County Office of Education will cease all in-person services as of the end of the day Monday, March 16, 2020. However, the following services may be available in emergency situations:

Fingerprinting/Background Checks – In an emergency, email jyoder@peoriacounty.org to make an appointment. Our office will decide what constitutes an emergency in any and all cases.

GED Transcripts – Please email this completed GED Transcript Diploma Request Form to jyoder@peoriacounty.org. Transcript requests for individuals (non-corporate entities) will be processed at no charge. Requests will be mailed upon completion.

Worker’s Permits – Email completed 2019 Work Permit form along with supporting documentation to jyoder@peoriacounty.org. Requests will be mailed upon processing.

Professional Educator Licensure – All educator licensure must go through your ELIS account online.

A major responsibility for the ROE is the administration of a multitude of state and federal grants, including the Preschool for All program, the hosting of the Illinois Virtual School, teacher and administrator certification, school district health/life safety issues, school district compliance visits, student hospital/homebound tutoring, school bus driver training, General Educational Development (GED) testing, criminal background checks, and many other programs and contracts.
