As of November 20, 2020 the Peoria County Courthouse will be closed to the public until December 11, 2020.

Criminal background checks can be scheduled by emailing mbrown@peoriacounty.org or rmueller@peoriaroe.org, or by calling our office at (309) 672-6906.

Applications for a work permit can be downloaded from our website and emailed to mbrown@peoriacounty.org.

Individuals requesting a GED transcript can fill out their request and email to rmueller@peoriaroe.org. The transcript fee will be waived for individuals requesting online.

Third party GED requests must be mailed to our office and include the appropriate fee.

A major responsibility for the ROE is the administration of a multitude of state and federal grants, including the Preschool for All program, the hosting of the Illinois Virtual School, teacher and administrator certification, school district health/life safety issues, school district compliance visits, student hospital/homebound tutoring, school bus driver training, General Educational Development (GED) testing, criminal background checks, and many other programs and contracts.
