Criminal Background Check

Due to Illinois going into Tier 3 mitigations beginning November 20th, the ROE will now need to make appointments for all background checks.  We will open up this service to Monday through Friday between 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. beginning next Monday, November 23rd.  After December 11th we will go back to fingerprinting on Thursday’s only per our normally scheduled time.  Please call the ROE at 672.6906 to schedule an appointment.  You will need to  come in the Jefferson Street side of the Courthouse and check in with security before proceeding to our office. Security will NOT let anyone enter the building without an appointment.  Please let me know if you have any questions!

The Peoria County ROE #48 is a State of Illinois Licensed Digital Livescan Vendor
Background checks are done for Peoria County school certified employees, non-certified employees, school volunteers and contractors working for Peoria County schools.

Fingerprinting Hours:
Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Walk-in only, no appointments are taken

Cost:
$60 payable by cash, personal check or school district check payable to R.O.E.

No debit/credit cards accepted

 

Return of Results:
It will take approximately two weeks to receive the results back

The ROE will mail you a clearance letter that you will need to share with the district(s) that you are interested in working for
